About Youri Tielemans

Youri Tielemans came through the youth academy of Anderlecht, where he made his Champions League debut as the youngest Belgian ever. Via AS Monaco and Leicester City, where he scored the winning goal in the 2021 FA Cup final, he ended up at Aston Villa. He became captain of the Red Devils and has now played in his third World Cup, after previous participations in 2018 and 2022. With Aston Villa, he won the Europa League in May 2026, the club's first European trophy in decades. Shortly after the World Cup, Tielemans moved to Manchester United. Known for his shooting technique and long-range goals, he is considered one of the most experienced and reliable midfielders of his generation.
