About Virgil van Dijk
Virgil van Dijk moved from Southampton to Liverpool in January 2018, where he grew into one of the best central defenders in the world. The Dutch defender quickly became an absolute leader in defense and played a crucial role in Liverpool's successful period under Jürgen Klopp.
Van Dijk helped Liverpool win the Champions League title in 2019. In the final against Tottenham Hotspur, he played a key role in the 2-0 victory and was also named Man of the Match. A year later, he won the Premier League with Liverpool, making the club national champions again for the first time in thirty years.
