About Pelé

Pelé, born Edson Arantes do Nascimento, made his debut for Brazil at just seventeen years old and grew into one of the most legendary players in the history of the national team. Wearing the yellow shirt of the Seleção, he won the World Cup three times, in 1958, 1962, and 1970, an achievement still unmatched by anyone. At the 1958 World Cup, at barely seventeen years old, he became the youngest player ever to score in a World Cup final. His iconic number 10 became a worldwide symbol for footballing class and creativity, and has since been associated with the greatest stars of the game. Even after his playing career, Pelé remained the face of Brazilian football and an ambassador for the sport worldwide. His legacy and status as one of the all-time greats remain vibrant to this day.
