About Merih Demiral

Merih Demiral became one of the most famous Turkish central defenders of his generation. He began his professional career in Turkey with Fenerbahçe and then made a name for himself in Portugal with Sporting CP and Alanyaspor. His strong performances earned him a transfer to Italy.

In 2019, Demiral moved to Juventus, where he gained experience at one of Europe's biggest clubs. He then played for Atalanta, where he became an important defender in Serie A. Later, he continued his career at Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.

Demiral is also an important international player for Turkey. He represented his country in several major international tournaments and played a key role during Euro 2024. In the quarter-final against the Netherlands, he scored two goals, making history as the first Turkish defender to score twice in a single match at a major international tournament.

Demiral is known for his physical strength, tackling prowess, heading ability, aggression, and defensive mentality. With his fighting spirit and leadership, he became an important defender for the Turkish national team and a recognizable player in international football.
