About Luka Modrić

Luka Modrić came through the youth academy of Dinamo Zagreb and built one of the most successful careers ever at Real Madrid, with six Champions League titles and the 2018 Ballon d'Or. As captain of Croatia, he led his country to the 2018 World Cup final and the 2022 semi-finals. At the 2026 World Cup, at the age of 40 and presumably his last major tournament, he made history again: against Panama, he became the first Croatian and only the fourth player ever to reach 200 international caps, joining the illustrious company of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Bader Al-Mutawa.
