About Ian Wright

Ian Wright moved from Crystal Palace to Arsenal in 1991 and became one of the greatest goal scorers in the club's history. The English striker quickly became a fan favourite thanks to his speed, explosiveness, and goal-scoring instinct.

During his time at Arsenal, Wright played 288 official matches and scored 185 goals. This made him the club's all-time top scorer for many years until Thierry Henry later broke that record.

With Arsenal, Wright won the Premier League in the 1997/98 season, the FA Cup in 1993 and 1998, and the League Cup in 1993. He also won the European Cup Winners' Cup with the club in 1994.

One of his most memorable moments came in the 1998 FA Cup final when Arsenal defeated Newcastle United 2-0. Wright was part of the team that achieved the historic Premier League and FA Cup double that season.
