About Gheorghe Hagi

Gheorghe Hagi is a Romanian former footballer who is considered one of the greatest players in the history of Romanian football. The technically gifted attacking midfielder was known for his exceptional dribbling skills, great shooting technique, creativity, and powerful left-footed shots. Hagi played for Real Madrid, Brescia, and FC Barcelona, among others, during his career, but made the biggest impression at Galatasaray, where he became an absolute club legend. With Romania, he appeared in several major tournaments and played a key role during the 1994 World Cup, where the country reached the quarter-finals. In total, he played 124 times for the Romanian national team and scored 35 goals. Known as the "Maradona of the Carpathians," Hagi is considered one of the most talented and influential footballers in Romania's history.
