About Gheorghe Hagi

Gheorghe Hagi is a former Romanian footballer considered one of the greatest players in Romanian football history and an absolute club legend for Galatasaray. The technically gifted attacking midfielder moved to the top Turkish club in 1996 and became one of the most beloved players in the club's history. During his time at Galatasaray, he won four consecutive Turkish league titles and two Turkish Cups. In 2000, Hagi, along with Galatasaray, made history by winning the UEFA Cup after a legendary penalty shootout against Arsenal, followed by the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid. Known for his exceptional technique, creativity, superb shooting ability, and powerful left foot, Hagi is considered one of the greatest foreign players to have ever played in the Süper Lig.
