About Edin Džeko

Edin Džeko became one of the greatest Bosnian footballers of all time and one of the most prolific strikers of his generation. He started his professional career at Željezničar Sarajevo and then made a name for himself at Teplice and VfL Wolfsburg. In Germany, he developed into a top striker and became the Bundesliga top scorer in 2009/10.

In 2011, Džeko moved to Manchester City, where he played a significant role in one of the most historic periods in the club's history. He won the Premier League and the FA Cup and was part of the team that spectacularly won the English league title in 2012.

Later, Džeko played for AS Roma and Inter Milan. At both Italian top clubs, he became an important attacking force. With Inter, he won, among other things, the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana and reached the Champions League final.

Džeko is also an absolute legend for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the record scorer and one of the most experienced internationals in the country's history. He led Bosnia and Herzegovina to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the country's first and so far only World Cup appearance.

Džeko is known for his excellent technique, heading ability, physical strength, positioning, and clinical finishing. With his impressive career at top European clubs and his enormous significance for the Bosnian national team, he became one of the greatest strikers and sports icons in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
